Bloody Bollocks
The band first appeared on the pub and club circuit in the 1990s under the name “Panache”. This was changed after an unfavourable review in Bride and Groom Monthly, following a performance at a wedding and the new name stuck. The happy couple were not so happy and complained that the band were too drunk to play and it was also alleged that the lead singer was sick all over the wedding cake. These little set backs did not deter a determined and fairly young at the time emerging act and so they struggled on against adversity. Cliff Topp, who is the lead singer of the band, started writing songs and found that audiences reacted strongly to the original material, mostly anger and outrage but they were drawing in small crowds. A local musician has started legal proceedings against the vocalist claiming plagiarism, but Cliff Top denies all the charges. After a particularly memorable performance at a London venue the band were ordered to do a thousand hours community service and are now performing at various venues as part of their sentence. Bloody Bollocks are a highly original and energetic band with irreverant songs that speak of the craziness of the modern world. The songs are catchy, memorable and fun. Bloody Bollocks music transcends genre. Audiences are always amused or horrified, or both, we shall let you be the judges.
